Manager Applied AI Architecture – Healthcare & Life Sciences

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a senior leader to head the Healthcare and Life Sciences Solutions Architect team within its Applied AI division. You will drive the adoption of cutting‑edge AI technologies across payers, providers, life‑science firms, and med‑tech companies, partnering closely with sales and product teams to deliver Anthropic’s AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high‑performing pre‑sales Solutions Architect team.
• Define performance goals and align them with sales and cross‑functional objectives.
• Act as technical sponsor for strategic customers, guiding AI adoption strategies and use‑case scoping.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to create go‑to‑market strategies for vertical and horizontal AI use cases.
• Work with product and engineering to prioritize customer feedback and remove adoption blockers.
• Represent Anthropic at customer sites, conferences, and executive‑level workshops.
• Shape a shared vision for safe, beneficial AI in technology products.
• Contribute to thought leadership through presentations, webinars, and technical content.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or similar pre‑sales technical role.
• 3+ years of experience managing technical pre‑sales teams.
• Proven track record selling complex AI products to healthcare and life‑science organizations.
• Deep understanding of enterprise AI use cases and API‑based integrations.
• Experience operating within a consumption‑based GTM model rather than traditional SaaS cycles.
• Ability to build and scale teams and processes in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.
