Make-Ready Technician

About the role

The Make-Ready Technician ensures vacant apartments are prepared to Greystar’s quality standards for re‑leasing. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to turn units market‑ready quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements to apartments before new resident move‑in, following the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect, repair, or replace damaged sheetrock.
• Perform touch‑up painting for vacant and occupied units as directed.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document all work and complete the make‑ready checklist promptly.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and work in confined spaces.
• Capability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb independently and up to 50 lb with assistance.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to take on‑call duties.

Required skills

• Basic carpentry and drywall repair.
• Caulking and sealing techniques.
• Touch‑up painting.
• Use of hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
