Make-Ready Specialist

About the role

The Make-Ready Specialist ensures vacant apartment units are prepared to Greystar’s quality standards for re‑leasing. This role involves performing technical and mechanical work to turn units into market‑ready condition efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements to apartments prior to resident move‑in following the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as needed.
• Inspect, repair or replace damaged sheetrock.
• Perform touch‑up painting for vacant and occupied units as directed.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document completion of the make‑ready checklist and required maintenance paperwork promptly.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Capability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb independently and 50 lb with assistance.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Sheetrock repair and replacement.
• Caulking and sealing around fixtures.
• Touch‑up painting.
• Pressure‑washing of exterior surfaces.
