Maintenance Technician – The Yard at Ivanhoe

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of The Yard at Ivanhoe property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position works a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Inspect contractor and vendor work to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Required profile

• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart where applicable).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to respond to on‑call assignments.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
