Groundskeeper / Porter for The Yard at Ivanhoe

About the role

The Yard at Ivanhoe is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the community’s outdoor areas and support the service team. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures the property remains clean, safe, and visually appealing for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect common areas throughout the day, removing litter, debris and pet waste to keep the grounds tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters or storage, and maintain those storage areas.
• Perform minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnovers.
• Change locks according to policy and verify that pool‑area gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions and address maintenance‑related complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders and carry objects for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with residents and team members.
