Maintenance Technician - The Stacks

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools, track usage, and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, cleaning and painting as required.

Required profile

• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically handle tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), climbing ladders and crawling in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on‑call duties during evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart when needed.

Required skills

• EPA Type I and II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
