Maintenance Technician – Spyglass

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas at the Spyglass Seaside property meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and completing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests and maintenance work accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety and risk‑management meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical or building defects.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation and inventory tracking.
• Commitment to follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Willingness to work with vendors and coordinate make‑ready activities.
