Maintenance Technician – Preserve at Westfields

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Preserve at Westfields community. You will ensure that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Comply with Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attending routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established safety, procedural and code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation, inventory control and quality inspections.
• Capability to work independently, coordinate with vendors and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
