Maintenance Technician (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative and repair maintenance to keep the hotel operating to high quality and sustainability standards. This part‑time position involves direct interaction with guests, ensuring a warm and friendly service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders for ceiling tiles, sheet‑rock, wallpaper, and wall coverings.
• Install or repair sheetrock, paint designated areas, and replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, and light bulbs.
• Perform minor plumbing tasks and maintain curb‑appeal duties such as snow removal, lawn care, gardening, and trash removal.
• Follow service recovery guidelines, sustainability practices, and safety standards (MSDS, OSHA).

Required profile

• High school diploma; trade school coursework in a related field preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience or equivalent training is required.
• Ability to work varied schedules, including holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.

Required skills

• Sheetrock installation and repair.
• Painting and wall covering application.
• Basic electrical work (fixture replacement, switch and receptacle installation).
• Minor plumbing repairs.
• Grounds maintenance (snow removal, lawn care, gardening).
