Maintenance Technician – Palm Beach Preserve

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Palm Beach Preserve community in West Palm Beach. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspection.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and amenity upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs according to established procedures.
• Familiarity with safety standards, building codes and Greystar’s operational policies.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and inventory management.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
