Maintenance Technician - Novo Las Olas

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the property, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and assist with general cleaning, trash removal, pressure‑washing, and painting of common areas.
• Support cost‑control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to work on‑site in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), climbing ladders, and crawling in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including rotating on‑call evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliance with safety policies, participation in OSHA training, and reporting of incidents.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 certification for refrigerant recycling.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart on the property).
