Maintenance Technician – North Oaks Landing

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of North Oaks Landing – a 200‑unit garden‑style community – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new move‑ins.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely for proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including rotating on‑call evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart when required.

Required skills

• EPA Type I and II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
