Maintenance Technician – Multi‑Site

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, repairs and final inspections.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools and equipment, track usage and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely for proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting.
• Support cost‑control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.

Required profile

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lb independently or 50 lb with assistance.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and to respond to on‑call situations.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other properties for training or support.

Required skills

• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart where applicable).
