Maintenance Technician – Matthews Square

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of Matthews Square – a 350‑unit mid‑rise community – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This onsite role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and supporting the overall upkeep of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and conduct preventative maintenance, adhering to safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and make‑ready procedures.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
