Maintenance Technician – Marlowe Summerville

About the role

This position provides technical and mechanical support for a garden‑style community, ensuring that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑initiated work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts, minimizing waste and using tools correctly.
