Maintenance Technician – Manassas Yards

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that all physical aspects of Greystar’s Manassas Yards property—including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas—meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspection.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and amenity upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Capability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on‑call evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart when required.

Required skills

• EPA Type I certification for refrigerant recycling.
• EPA Type II certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Universal EPA certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
