Maintenance Technician – Luxury High‑Rise Property

About the role

Greystar is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for the Ascent South Lake Union luxury high‑rise in Seattle. The technician will ensure the building’s physical systems, common areas and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality while delivering excellent resident service.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in accordance with policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings, parking areas and common amenities, including pressure‑washing and minor painting.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training and report incidents promptly.
• Inspect work performed by contractors and assist with periodic property inspections.

Required profile

• Proficient and safe use of hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with painting, entry‑level carpentry, appliance repair and basic plumbing.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
