Maintenance Technician - Las Palmas

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of Greystar’s residential property meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. You will work on a stabilized garden‑style community of 250 units, handling resident service requests, preventative maintenance, and make‑ready preparations for new move‑ins.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process: inspect vacant units, create punch lists, schedule vendors, obtain supplies, complete repairs, and verify finished work.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, including trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.

Required profile

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes rotating on‑call duties, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliance with Greystar’s safety policies, participation in OSHA training, and prompt reporting of incidents.

Required skills

• EPA Type I refrigerant recycling certification.
• EPA Type II refrigerant recycling certification.
• Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart on larger properties).
