Maintenance Technician – Jackson School Village

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas at Jackson School Village meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This role handles resident service requests, preventative maintenance, and prepares vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final verification.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training and report incidents promptly.
• Inspect contractor work periodically to verify quality and compliance with specifications.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) in all weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays, with on‑call duties as needed.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 refrigerant recycling certification.
• EPA Type II refrigerant recycling certification.
• Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
