Maintenance Technician – Highland House Tower

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support Highland House Tower in Pittsburgh. You will ensure that the building’s physical systems, common areas, and amenities meet the company’s standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation promptly and accurately to ensure proper tracking of service requests.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow safety and risk‑management policies, including participation in routine safety meetings.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality of work.
• Organizational skills to manage work orders, inventory, and vendor scheduling.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor and operate maintenance equipment.
