Maintenance Technician for The Maggie Property

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support The Maggie, a mid‑rise, stabilized community in Raleigh, NC. The technician will perform technical and mechanical work to keep the building, grounds, amenities and common areas clean, safe and fully functional. This full‑time, onsite position follows a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, repairs and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools and equipment, track usage and reorder as needed.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Inspect contractor work to ensure quality, scope and specifications are met.

Required profile

• Must hold EPA Type 1 and Type 2 (or Universal) certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license required for golf‑cart operation on the property.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays for on‑call duties.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb independently, 50 lb with assistance, and perform work in all weather conditions.
