Maintenance Technician at Palomino Park

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing defects according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents.
• Inspect contractor work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.

Required profile

• Compliance with Greystar safety and risk‑management policies, including attendance at safety meetings and completion of required training.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and respond to on‑call duties.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 certification for refrigerant recycling.
• EPA Type 2 or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart where applicable).
