Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift

About the role

Berkshire Precision Tool, LLC, a leading supplier of American‑made industrial cutting tools, is seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic for its production facility in Pittsfield, MA. The position focuses on preventative maintenance, repairs on production machinery, and upkeep of building mechanical systems, exterior and grounds.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
• Repair machinery and components using technical manuals and diagnostic equipment.
• Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
• Maintain machinery and equipment in efficient and safe working condition.
• Handle filter changes, trash and recycling, and execute planned projects.

Required profile

• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain and pass an MA Class 1‑D hoist (forklift) license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair.
• Basic computer literacy for operating equipment and maintenance management systems.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
