Maintenance Technician – 1550 on the Charles

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the physical upkeep of its residential property located at 1550 on the Charles. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret work orders, maintenance manuals, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and team members.
