Maintenance Team Lead

About the role

Support all maintenance calls to keep production equipment running at optimum efficiency on the 2nd shift (2‑10 pm). The role involves electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and tooling repairs with a strong focus on safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance according to schedules and improve operations through projects, continuous improvement activities and 5S.
• Coordinate coverage for extended shifts, weekend work and manage work orders, projects and PMs in collaboration with production supervisors.
• Troubleshoot electronic problems on actuators, sensors, servo hydraulics, servo pneumatics, AC servo drives and robotic systems using multimeters, oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
• Develop and modify PLC programs with support from the PLC technician and ensure SAP work orders and PMs are up to standard.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Industrial Mechanics or Electronics (above high school).
• Knowledge of hand tools, machine tools, measuring devices and ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics.
• Understanding of AC/DC circuits, motor wiring, electrical safety codes and PLC control wiring.
• Flexibility to work overtime, early shifts or be on call for weekend support.

Required skills

• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Use of multimeter, oscilloscope, amp gauges and Siemens PG units.
• Experience with servo hydraulics, servo pneumatics, AC servo drives and electro‑robotic systems.
• Proficiency with SAP work order management and 5S standards.
