Technical Functions/Maintenance Intern – Spring 2027

About the role

The Technical Functions/Maintenance Intern supports maintenance operations by managing spare parts and consumable inventories, ensuring equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables; perform cycle counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels, generate purchase requisitions, and track orders to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
• Issue parts against work orders in the CMMS and keep inventory, purchasing, and asset data up‑to‑date in ERP/CMMS systems.
• Analyze usage trends, develop KPIs, and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives for inventory management and storeroom organization.
• Support TPM initiatives, manage obsolete inventory, and collaborate with maintenance, engineering, purchasing, and operations teams.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a technical degree program.
• Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis.
• Interest and ability to learn CMMS/ERP systems and inventory management.
• Prefer candidates with knowledge of maintenance parts.
