Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

Summit Property Management is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the upkeep of a newly‑acquired multi‑family portfolio in South Dallas. You will coordinate routine and emergency work, ensure apartments are ready for leasing, and manage the property’s maintenance budget.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs on building exteriors, grounds, mechanical, plumbing, and other systems.
• Develop and maintain schedules for routine maintenance, landscaping, cleaning, painting, and turnover work.
• Implement a preventive maintenance program and supervise all contract work for quality.
• Ensure vacated units are in “make‑ready” condition for showing and renting.
• Serve as on‑call emergency maintenance contact during nights and weekends.
• Operate within budget, notifying the Community Manager of any variations.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of tools, furniture, and accessories.
• Attend trade association meetings and seminars when possible.

Required profile

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a multi‑family environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college or trade school education preferred.
• Preferred certifications: CAMT, boiler license, EPA, CPO, electrical, plumbing, first aid.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, major appliances, pool and spa equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency; experience with RealPage or Sight Plan is a plus.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and climb stairs or ladders as needed.
