Maintenance Supervisor – 550 Northridge

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s high standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position supports a stabilized mid‑rise community of 220 units.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders, diagnose issues and perform repairs in accordance with safety codes and company policies.
• Manage the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with quality and scope.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, order supplies within budget and complete monthly preventative maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent with experience in property‑management or building maintenance.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems, read technical documents and communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and on‑call rotations.

Required skills

• EPA Type I and II (or Universal) certification for HVAC system work.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, MSDS handling and OSHA requirements.
• Basic computer skills, including property‑management software, Microsoft Office and spreadsheet use.
