Maintenance Millfitter Technician

About the role

As a Maintenance Millfitter Technician you will maintain all plant systems in a pet‑care manufacturing facility. The role combines predictive and preventative maintenance with hands‑on troubleshooting to improve machine reliability and process efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a solid understanding of plant equipment, procedures and material flow.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and breakdown, assess, and rebuild gear reducers and pumps.
• Perform Arc, TIG and MIG welding procedures.
• Layout, fabricate and install spouts, hoppers, transitions and mechanical guards.
• Follow plant safety practices at all times.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair screw conveyors, belt conveyors, lift‑leap and pneumatic conveyance systems.
• Collaborate with vendors to improve maintenance practices.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in industrial or military maintenance.
• Willingness to work off‑shifts and overtime as needed.

Required skills

• Arc welding, TIG welding and MIG welding.
• Gear reducer and pump repair.
• Conveyor and pneumatic system troubleshooting.
• Fabrication and installation of spouts, hoppers and mechanical guards.
