Machine Operator – Plastics Manufacturing

About the role

As a Machine Operator you will support plastics manufacturing operations by handling materials, operating production equipment, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. You will work closely with the production team to achieve daily output and schedule commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate plastics machine equipment following work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Load, unload, sort, stage, and move raw materials, components, and finished goods through the production process.
• Inspect in‑process and completed plastic parts for quality, dimensions, defects, and conformance to specifications.
• Monitor equipment operation, identify basic process or equipment issues, and report concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow site procedures for material handling, storage, and disposal.
• Support daily production goals by meeting assigned productivity targets and adapting to changing manufacturing priorities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (or related experience/military service).
• Ability to use basic computer systems to enter, review, or track production or quality information.
• 1+ year of experience operating production machinery and performing routine maintenance.
• Experience with warehouse staging and inventory systems (handheld barcode scanners, basic WMS).
• Completed safety training such as OSHA‑10 or equivalent.
• Physical ability to stand most of the shift, lift/carry up to 50 lb, and perform frequent movements (climb, squat, kneel, twist, push, bend).
• Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
