Machine Operator

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking a Machine Operator to join its manufacturing team in Oklahoma. The role involves operating and maintaining a variety of conventional and special‑purpose machines to produce structural parts and assemblies with high precision.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain machines, including loading, machining, unloading, and de‑burring.
• Read blueprints or work instructions, measure dimensions, and ensure accuracy using precision measuring devices.
• Monitor machine performance, detect malfunctions, make adjustments, and perform routine maintenance.
• Transport finished products to assigned departments and safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Basic math skills and ability to read tape measures, calipers, and blueprints.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally and stand or walk for most of the shift.

Required skills

• Proficiency with radial drills, fin‑tube machinery, large vertical band saws, presses, brakes and shears.
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes (certification preferred).
• Use of precision measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers.
