About the role
Relace is seeking a Machine Learning Scientist to advance small, high‑performance language models for retrieval, application, and code generation. You will work at the intersection of research and production, turning innovative ideas into deployed infrastructure quickly.
Key responsibilities
- Push the limits of small, high‑performance language models.
- Develop and improve training methodology, optimization techniques, and model architecture at scale.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and product teams to bring breakthroughs into production.
Required profile
- Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, or related fields.
- 2+ years of experience in ML research or production systems.
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a quantitative field or equivalent industry experience.
Required skills
- Python programming.
- Experience with PyTorch or JAX.
- Training and optimizing large or efficient models.
- Applied optimization, distributed training, and model evaluation.
