Machine Learning Engineer I

About the role

Warner Bros. Discovery’s CNN Digital team is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer I to design, build, and operate ML systems that power personalization, search, recommendations, and content understanding for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop end‑to‑end machine‑learning pipelines in Python for CNN digital products.
• Maintain production ML workflows, including feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and serving.
• Implement rigorous experimentation and A/B‑testing frameworks to measure model impact.
• Optimize models for real‑time, web‑scale performance serving millions of users.
• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, data‑science, product, and editorial teams to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, write documentation, and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• Graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 1 year of professional experience building and deploying machine‑learning systems.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a passion for delivering measurable product impact.
