LPN Meds Certified – Endoscopy

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Digestive Disease Institute is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certified in medication administration to join its Endoscopy department on the Main Campus. The role involves providing patient care during upper GI, colonoscopy, ERCP, and related procedures, working days and on‑call shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, document, and report patient data and observations during endoscopic procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments authorized by a provider and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with care plan implementation under RN supervision.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post‑procedure care, and medication regimens.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.

Required skills

• Medication administration and monitoring.
• Patient data collection and documentation.
• Basic laboratory testing.
• Ability to work full‑body motion, lift patients, and stand for extended periods.
