About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care, including IV therapy, to children in a clinic setting under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role involves collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized, high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including IV therapy, under RN direction.
Apply the nursing process for assessment, planning, evaluation, and documentation.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Assist and direct ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties.

Required profile

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.

Required skills

IV therapy (preferred certification).
Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
Strong interpersonal and delegation skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
