Logistics Director

About the role

The Logistics Director leads end‑to‑end shipment planning, warehouse operations, and systems integration for both domestic and international supply chains. This senior position partners closely with sales, production, and finance to drive cost efficiencies and ensure seamless cross‑functional communication.

Key responsibilities

• Create bi‑weekly overseas and monthly domestic cargo split files and manage cross‑dock shipping for 30+ accounts across 10 countries.
• Oversee air and ocean freight logistics, customs filings, and deliveries to the New Jersey warehouse.
• Visit the warehouse weekly, supervise daily operations, pick tickets, routing, and inventory verification against e‑commerce pre‑orders.
• Align order ship windows with production schedules and coordinate pre‑routing for delayed styles.
• Process China drop‑ship cargo, generate invoices, and manage account‑specific shipments.
• Manage all EDI transmissions (856/810), GS1 certificates, and UPC item catalogs for trading partners.
• Handle special requests such as hangtag placement for key accounts.
• Act as liaison between sales, production, and finance, providing logistics support and training.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and EDI systems.
• Proven track record of cost reduction through process optimization.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
