Logistics Coordinator II

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Logistics Coordinator II to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC). The role focuses on shipping and receiving operations, handling cargo by barge and air, and ensuring timely movement of supplies and equipment for research, development, test, and evaluation missions.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, sort, screen, log, and expedite all inbound materials arriving by barge or air.
• Prepare outbound cargo, build pallets, and load shipments for barge or air transport.
• Operate government vehicles between the Shipping & Receiving area and Fresh Creek Airport, providing cargo and baggage support for aircraft.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, store materials properly, and keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Load and unload trucks, transport cargo between Andros Freight Services and other AUTEC locations, and act as a U.S. Mail courier for classified cargo.
• Follow hazmat, IMDG, and IATA protocols for hazardous material handling.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of logistics experience, including 2 years handling hazardous materials.
• Forklift Operator certification with at least 3 years of forklift operation.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lb and work flexible schedules, including holidays and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license, passport, and eligibility for government security clearance.
• Willingness to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities.

Required skills

• Forklift operation certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of hazmat handling, IMDG and IATA protocols.
• Understanding of air support equipment and heavy‑equipment loading/offloading procedures.
