Licensed Practical Nurse – Night Shift (Georgia)

About the role

The State of Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse 3 to provide direct nursing care during the night shift. This full‑time position supports injured, ill, convalescent or disabled individuals across the state’s healthcare facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver general nursing care under broad supervision, including medical treatments and patient monitoring.
• Administer prescribed medications and give injections safely and accurately.
• Document patient observations, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with state regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care during night hours.

Required profile

• High School diploma/GED and completion of an LPN program approved by the Georgia Nursing Board, or a vocational/technical degree from an accredited college.
• Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• At least one (1) year of nursing experience, or equivalent experience at the Licensed Practical Nurse 2 level.
