Licensed Practical Nurse – Endoscopy

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Digestive Disease Institute is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its Endoscopy department on the Main Campus. The role involves providing direct patient care during a variety of endoscopic procedures and supporting the interdisciplinary team to achieve excellent clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, document, and report patient data and observations during endoscopic procedures.
• Implement and revise care plans as directed by a Registered Nurse.
• Administer medications and treatments authorized by a provider, monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
• Educate patients and family members about procedures, post‑procedure care, and medication regimens.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Preferred: Minimum one year of patient care experience, preferably in an endoscopy or gastroenterology setting.
• Physical ability to move and lift patients, stand for extended periods, and perform manual dexterity tasks.
