About the role
The Level III Rope Access Technician leads offshore and on‑shore inspection projects, managing safety, work site organization, and supervising crews. The role combines rope‑access operations with non‑destructive testing of piping, pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural components.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect offshore structures, vessels, pipelines, and pressure vessels using rope‑access techniques.
- Perform NDT inspections, including cathodic potential readings and detection of cracks, corrosion, and weld defects.
- Coordinate with project managers and customers to maintain workflow and ensure safety compliance.
- Prepare inspection reports, drawings, and sketches, and manage equipment logistics.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years rope‑access experience.
- IRATA Level III certification and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card, HUET certification, Safe Gulf Training, and a passport.
- Previous experience in inspection or non‑destructive testing.
Required skills
- Rope‑access techniques and safety management.
- Non‑destructive testing (NDT) methods, including cathodic potential measurements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting.
- ASNT Level II certification (desired) and Petzl PPE training (desired).
