Legal Nurse Consultant – Part‑time (Hybrid/Remote)

About the role

Burr & Forman LLP is seeking an experienced Legal Nurse Consultant to join its Health Care Practice Group on a part‑time basis (approximately 50‑90 hours per month). The role can be performed in a hybrid office setting or fully remote within selected states.

Key responsibilities

• Process record requests and obtain medical records from facilities.
• Confirm record completeness, identify gaps, and request additional documentation.
• Review, summarize, and analyze medical records and related legal documents.
• Conduct medical record gap analysis and draft detailed chronologies.
• Provide clinical research and analysis of medical issues relevant to cases.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the legal team.

Required profile

• BSN or RN degree with at least five years of nursing experience, preferably in senior‑care settings.
• Familiarity with Point Click Care (PCC) and Matrixcare systems.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and clinical standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and drafting skills.
