About the role
SAG-AFTRA, the world’s largest performers union, offers a legal internship for law students interested in entertainment, labor and employment law. Interns will gain hands‑on experience with the union’s Legal Department, learning how collective bargaining agreements are enforced and how the union engages in the political process.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with arbitration and litigation of contractual disputes involving studios, producers, distributors, and advertising agencies.
- Support interpretation and enforcement of collective bargaining agreements.
- Conduct research and draft documents related to labor, entertainment, intellectual property, contract, and employment law.
- Participate in special projects assigned by staff attorneys.
Required profile
- Demonstrated interest or coursework in labor, employment, litigation, or entertainment law.
- Commitment to protecting workers and advancing union objectives.
- Enrollment in a law school and eligibility to work in the United States.
