Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Nursing (Faculty Position)

About the role

Texas A&M University – Texarkana is seeking qualified faculty to join its College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services. The appointment is a 9‑month full‑time faculty position, with multiple openings for both Lecturer (non‑tenure track) and Assistant Professor (tenure‑track) roles.

Key responsibilities

• Teach 15 SCH (Lecturer) or 12 SCH (Assistant Professor) undergraduate and graduate courses each long semester across classroom, clinical, simulation, and online formats.
• Provide student advisement and mentorship as assigned.
• Participate actively in program development, renewal, and curriculum revision.
• Collaborate with local and regional healthcare entities to enhance clinical experiences.
• Supervise student clinical and experiential learning, ensuring competency before independent practice.
• Engage in extramurally funded research projects and scholarly activities.

Required profile

• Unencumbered RN license in the State of Texas or an unencumbered RN Compact.
• Eligibility to work in the United States at the time of hire (no sponsorship).
• Commitment to the mission of the nursing program and its growth agenda.
