About the role

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Professional to join its Jersey City community. The role focuses on driving occupancy, revenue and resident satisfaction through effective marketing, leasing and renewal activities.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, show apartments and process applications, credit and background checks.
• Prepare lease documents, move‑in packages and ensure a smooth resident move‑in experience.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate with maintenance to resolve any issues and maintain move‑in ready conditions.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans to sustain occupancy.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data and capture demographic information.
• Maintain show unit standards through daily inspections and coordinate any necessary updates.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to build relationships with prospective and existing residents.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of local rental market conditions is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience using property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Proficiency with internet marketing tools and social media platforms (e.g., Craigslist, Facebook).
