Leasing Professional – Avana Long Point

About the role

The Leasing Professional will coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies for a stabilized 360‑unit garden‑style community. The role focuses on achieving occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals through direct leasing activities and resident satisfaction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease packages.
• Inspect units before move‑in, ensure readiness, and coordinate any maintenance needs.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, prospect data, and leasing activity.
• Maintain show units and marketing corridors to company standards, and prepare the leasing office for daily operations.
• Follow up with prospects and residents via email, calls, and thank‑you notes to secure leases and renewals.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner concerns, escalating issues as needed.

Required profile

• Valid state licenses and certifications as required, plus a driver’s license for operating a golf cart.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OneSite or Yardi property management software.
• Experience using internet marketing tools like Craigslist and Facebook.
