Lead Pharmacy Technician – Pediatrics

About the role

The Lead Pharmacy Technician – Pediatrics works on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus supporting pediatric inpatient units, the pediatric satellite pharmacy, and CCCHR services. The role focuses on safe, accurate medication distribution for high‑acuity pediatric patients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pediatric medication inventory and coordinate deliveries to units and satellite pharmacies.
• Provide on‑call and downtime support, including participation in a technician on‑call program.
• Collaborate with pediatric pharmacists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Train, orient, and re‑train pharmacy technicians, and generate quality‑control reports for management.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a relevant practice area.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA and active Ohio Board of Pharmacy registration.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
