Lead Operator – Manufacturing Excellence Hourly Change Agent

About the role

The Manufacturing Excellence Hourly Change Agent supports Nestlé Health Science’s continuous‑improvement culture by identifying, leading, and implementing small‑scale improvement projects within daily operations. This role works closely with peers and leadership to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance safety and quality on the production floor.

Key responsibilities

• Observe day‑to‑day operations and use data to pinpoint improvement opportunities in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Facilitate short, focused improvement activities and workshops using Lean tools such as 5S, Standard Work, and Visual Controls.
• Verify equipment settings, report deviations, and assist with changeovers and centerlining procedures.
• Collect and analyze performance data to measure project results and sustain improvements.
• Provide peer‑to‑peer training, coach colleagues on new processes, and act as a bridge between frontline teams and supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience in a frontline or hourly manufacturing role.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to explain complex ideas.
• Informal leadership ability to influence and motivate peers.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset with a focus on root‑cause analysis.
• Self‑starter who can own improvement projects with minimal supervision.
