Lead Maintenance Technician – Alta Ivy

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for its Alta Ivy community in Cary, NC. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality during the lease‑up phase.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Track and retrieve maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, reporting re‑order needs to the supervisor.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to work Monday‑Friday with a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Commitment to follow established safety procedures and code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality of work.
