Lead Load Balancing Engineer (F5)

About the role

Lead Load Balancing Engineer (F5) will join Mastercard’s Global Load Balancing Engineering team to design, build and operate the company’s worldwide load balancer estate across data‑centers, corporate and customer networks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, manage and maintain Mastercard’s global network infrastructure, including data‑center, corporate and customer networks.
• Translate network designs into detailed implementation plans and oversee change control processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, end‑users and other technology teams to coordinate upcoming changes.
• Serve as an escalation point for operations incidents and support architecture teams with high‑ and low‑level designs.
• Ensure compliance with standards, support internal and external audits, and evaluate new technologies.
• Deploy and maintain load balancers in hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and support a hybrid working model (3 days onsite).

Required profile

• Extensive network engineering, design, operations or architecture experience covering F5, Citrix NetScaler, LAN/WAN, firewalls, VOIP, QoS, routing and switching.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, PKI, DNS and certificate management.
• Proven ability to work independently, communicate effectively and support cross‑functional teams.
