Land Development Division Lead

About the role
We are seeking a Land Development Division Lead to head our Land Development group within the HMB team. The role combines business development, project oversight, and technical design support to deliver high‑quality land development solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Land Development division.
- Lead business development and fee proposal activities for the land development market.
- Oversee operations, production, and coordination with company‑wide Land Development staff.
- Recruit and manage local staff to support market growth.
- Manage client relationships, project work plans, scopes, budgets, and invoicing.
- Prepare roadway, grading, drainage, water, and sewer plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Produce technical memoranda, design plans, specifications, and reports.
- Administer quality‑assurance processes for all deliverables.
- Handle calculations, cost estimates, construction specifications, and permitting across jurisdictions.
- Conduct construction observation and coordinate with contractors.
- Ensure productive deployment of staff resources and balance project needs with availability.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- 10+ years of professional experience in land development.
- Proven leadership, business development, client management, and project management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work collaboratively.
